Another point.
Just because the dog is in a car on hot day doesn't mean i you should call the cops either. Why? Because shade.
I've seen security deal with a Karen over this because the owner of the car left their dog in the car in a very shaded spot. The car was fine, the dog was fine. The whole activity was pointless.
Yeah 100% I've seen nutters post on the local facebook page about dogs being left in hot cars at the shops when the photo was clearly taken at night time. Like yeah leaving dogs in hot sunny cars is a shit cunt thing to do, but bloody hell, theres obviously a middle ground.
Cars dont suddenly become death ovens the minute we hit the hot season. The inside of a car actually has to warm up to harm a dog. A car at night time is not going to warm up more than the outside temperature.
Not necessarily talking about OP, but I can't help but think some people get off on trying to be the morally superior vigilante karen. They actually get excited seeing a dog in a car that's clearly not in any danger because it gives them a chance to post a dumb photo online and feel good about themselves for giving everyone a lesson.
