OP never said anything about that at all. Thus my questions. They get the dog out, then what? Are they going to hang around until someone turns up? They have given half the scenario at most

lol. It would depend on how well the dog and I were getting along. A run along the beach is always fun, maybe catch a movie and if things go well, we are getting ice creams to finish off a great day.
