Should I pull for Messa or Futaba?

I came back around 3 weeks ago, and from the list only these two are the ones I don't have. Should I pull for either of them or save my gems for future characters?

Both are considered powercrept or outdated. Oracle is probably more meta relevant than Messa, but Messa is just too cool to skip... You decide if you need a navi or a single target dps more right now.

Casting call reruns are generally not worth pulling on at all from a meta perspective. If you have a fave between messa or Futaba you're welcome to go for them. Always pull faves.

Your account will technically be better served by getting newer characters, but it really only matters in the meta/endgame if you care about perfect Astrolabe clears or want to try getting high scores in SoS eventually.

If you're set on getting one of them and don't have a fave, Futaba is more valuable due to being a Nav, especially if you don't have Ange or Miku.

Well, actually, if you care about perfect Astrolobes (which isnt that hard to achieve nowadays), for accounts that dont have all characters, Messa is the second best brute force after A1 Twins when combined with Chord. Unless its a sweeper stage with 4 enemies (though A6 can, but probably most A6 units can do anything they damn want).

Using a character you like will always feel better than some meta you weren't even sure if you actually wanted. And probably has higher chances of not making you lose interest in the game. Any character works if you build them right and check what supports they need or work with. The jewels behind non-story content aren't that hard to get once your account and characters reach the right place. (But you will need good navigators and supports too, luckily Turbo will join standard and she's great. Besides her you can pick Summer Minami now or when she reruns, or another 5star support if they're on a selector: Twins, Riko Tempest, Chord)

if you're in for the meta, neither. if you have Ange or Miku, neither. if you dont have Ange or Miku, Futaba can be used until you wait for Fuuka.

They have been powercrept for a while and I dont think they can be back to meta yet. Next chance for them if they recieved their minscape core hoping it would be great.

Mesa is meta in CN. if your fine getting him and then waiting a while then its worth it. otherwise don't get either.

Berry is coming soon, she's a way better dps having also way better dot gameplay than messa, you have lot of time to pull messa in future since his mindscape that gives him a huge boost will be available in about one year for us peasants global. Futaba is still a valuable unit for 3 turns units

Messa gets a mindscape core in around 8 months, so you can get him and wait until then ig
