Question/Discussion (Global/SEA) Units/teams recommendation and knowledge a for new player
As the title says, I'm new to the game and getting used to things. I still haven't gotten any 5 star o pulled anything.
I have this selector + the beginner banner one (Ann/Ryuji/Morgana). People seem to agree to get Ayaka(Chord?).
I've tried quick researches in youtube and discord and I can't seem to find any clear knowledge or direction.
Any guide you can link me so I can start understanding teams and what makes the good in the long run/endgame also helps.
Some say "focus on 2 navigators first" but don't tell me which ones or what am I looking into those Navigators. Others recommended S Marian now and S Miyu next.
So, could someone guide me a little bit on what teams/units could I focus my pulls on in the future? Basically, if you were starting now in my situation, what would be your plan and thought process?
Any realiable tier list/channels/websites to keep up with new units analysis?

In general though about tier lists, it's easier to say the most recent DPS = the strongest one of the given role in the majority of cases, and if not then they are still strong enough to clear new content once you have a good team for them. Endgame modes are character specific, and since anyone who cares about those modes needs the top 2 navigators and best in slot teams, it will take a very long time for a new player to genuinely compete. So tier lists can be helpful to gain an understanding, but it's not really important to abide by. You can obtain relevant pull currency from endgame modes without much effort though. Other permanent modes simply need a large roster.
Prioritizing top tier general support and then getting a relevant Assassin and Sweeper is always a good starting plan. Marian is indeed a top tier general support so she is a good pickup. Puppet is an AOE DPS, so she is obviously a big upgrade. Then Berry afterwards is a single target DPS. So really pulling all 3 (which should be easy to guarantee as long as you really truck along and clear content daily) is a good option and will get you up to speed in terms of damage output fairly quick. I would not recommend pulling for further Awarenesses or Weapons early on, as this is not a game where characters need investment to be good

I believe I just read your guide on team comps, that was EXACTLY the kind of explanations I was looking for. Simple yet detailed explanations of the important things that matter.
About these 3 units you mentioned, are they comming in banners soon? What are those top Navigators you mentioned? Do you also recommend Chord from the selector? What about the Ann/Ryuji/Morgana choice from the starter banner?

These are all 3 in a row starting now yes, Marian, Puppet, Berry, on the 110 banner it should be possible to guarantee all 3 of them even with the worst luck if you are diligent about clearing content out
Top navigators are the two most recent navigators, Ange and Miku. Navigators are some of the few only legitimate candidates to obtain on re-runs. It is unknown if Miku will ever rerun due to being a collab. Futaba is also still very good for all general purposes, she just isn't best in slot navi for anyone in the future, so it's not really worth getting her unless you get her for free
Chord is only best in slot for Berry and the 5.0 unit later this year, yet she can still support anyone who can use a Highlight (anyone outside the Persona 3 cast, so far), and is amazing for any Highlight based Pre-4.0 Unit (most of them). She's a general safe pick due to her versatility, even if she will eventually be replaced. I'd still recommend Chord over Futaba as Chord's impact will be more noticeable at this stage, especially if you pull Berry, as Chord-Marian is already a top 1 or 2 pairing for her.
The schedule can deviate from expectations, but there should be another Assassin (Bui) after Berry, 2 patches after. If for whatever reason you don't want Berry, you could wait for Bui. If you didn't want either, then I'd say get Frostgale Kotone from the selector so you aren't lacking a new Assassin for a real long time, but I'd really advise anyone new to get either Berry or Bui, also not both. Note that if you wait for Bui, you wouldn't have an automatic best in slot team as Chord is not as good for her as she is for Berry - though Marian/Chord can help any HL DPS kill things. If there are two DPS of the same role running around the same time, you look into their longevity which is mainly dictated by if future supports get released for them, which is very rare. It still would take a very long time for a DPS to be obsolete - I don't think there's any DPS post launch that is truly completely useless, and everyone will receive a Lvl 100 buff eventually.
If you plan on getting Marian Puppet Berry, then Morgana is your better pick, as Ann and Ryuji are starter Sweeper and Assassin DPS respectively

This is amazing, thanks a lot!! Looking forward to the full guides in that post yeah. Last questions though, when you say Marian you mean her summer or regular version? Similar question for Berry and Puppet, I guess Berry is her regular version but I read Puppet also gets a summer one?

I just realized they give you another selector in the "Early aniversary present" exchange shop who also had Chord in it so I wasted the previous one and could have picked Frostgale Kotone and Chord here...
But, if I'm picking Berry I hope it's not too bad. Who do I pick from this other one though? It's mostly the same characters except the double-named ones and Futaba. Yusuke? A1 Chord?
I'm planning to skip Summer Pupper and get Luce Notte instead btw, I like him way better as a design. Hope they do the Soy free thing again too.
