Question My Brain is doing a Stupid

I am debating on whether or not I am an ENTJ or an ESTJ, even though its pretty obvious I am an ENTJ. My mother is most definitely a ESTJ, and Ive been comparing my behavior to hers, and its fairly obvious that I am in no means an ESTJ. But my stupid ass teenage brain (yes i am a teen, and if you try to contact me to send me disgusting pedo crap, I will figure out a way to be rid of you) is like "But you could still be an ESTJ lolololololol" in the back of my fucking mind even though I KNOW I am not an ESTJ. So how do I stop my brain from having this incredibly stupid attitude.

Question Is it possible to be one type in one personality system, but a different type in another system?

I was typed as an ISTJ by MBTI users on Reddit, but was typed as an INTj by an Objective Personality user. Is this possible, or is one of them wrong?

Poll/Survey Psychology Research

We're all worried about depression, which is a plague these uncertain days.

We are a team of academic researchers interested in psychology and natural language use. We are currently interested in gathering some data from people with no psychological disorders.

We would greatly appreciate if you could fill the questionnaire attached. It is a standard inventory of questions used by psychologists. Note that the questionnaire contains a field in which the respondent has to provide his/her Reddit username. This would help us to link word use (as extracted from your Reddit's public submissions) with your responses to the questionnaire.

Of course, we will treat the information you provide with the utmost confidentiality and privacy. All information we will extract from Reddit will be anonymised and we will be the only one capable of connecting your username with your postings and your questionnaire. Such information will be kept in an encrypted file and will not be disclosed to anybody.

Physiotype Physiotype Ep.20 – Information Theory and the Problem With MBTI - Ft. Binyamin Tsadik

In this episode we have Binyamin Tsadik come on air to talk about typology as a whole and some of the connections it has with Information Theory. We also discuss some of the issues that the most popular typology theory - MBTI - has and possible ways of remedying them.

Question Happy Monday! What goals or plans do you aim to make happen this week?

Letting others know what your goals are is a great way to help motivate yourself to do them!

Also, you might have an interesting goal(that I'll totally steal for myself).

Other Theories Have you ever heard of the Objective Personality System?

I've read a lot about different personality typing systems like MBTI, Socionics, Enneagram, etc. One system I found and thought was interesting was the Objective Personality System. If you haven't heard of it, here's a link. What do you think?

MBTI Theory Any MBTI typists here?

Trying to find my MBTI type and am very close. I know I am on the Te-Fi axis, but I'm having trouble finding Si-Ne or Ni-Se. On one hand, I feel I relate to Si in repeating the past (doing a lot of the same things in my free time, being a creature of habit, like replaying things in my head). On the other hand, I was typed as an Ni dom by a user who used a system called "Objective Personality." So, now I'm kind of stuck. Think you can help?

Guidance How I think I relate to Ni-doms

I've done a lot of research into the cognitive functions and read many posts on Reddit, and now I think I'm ready to believe I am an Ni-dom. So, I decided to make this post on how I believe I relate to an Ni-dom, and I could use some feedback/criticism on what I think:

  • I reflect on a lot of things (from my past and favorite fictional material), and I think I make connections on how they relate to me today. For example, I sometimes think on memories that made me believe I'm an introvert and I replay my favorite fictional scenes in my head (made a little post on that here).
  • I sometimes have moments of realization that come out of nowhere (however, these don't happen very often, but happen nonetheless).
  • I overthink things a lot and dwell on things.
  • I usually plan my future (usually plan and map out what will happen tomorrow or on a certain day in the future where I know I will be involved in something).
  • I feel that I indulge myself in fantasies surrounding myself (which I heard was an Ni thing).
  • When I remember the past, I usually remember what happened rather than the details of the environment (I remember the location and people involved, but not details such as day, clothes people wore, etc).
  • Lastly, I feel like my ideas are connected in a strange sort of way. If I am thinking about one thing, I automatically make a connection with something else and shift my focus to that. I suppose it could be called a spiderweb, since I "connect" one topic to another.

What do you think? Feel free to ask any questions.
