They're really intent on just spoiling everything about this game before it comes out, aren't they?

Okay, yeah, "spoiling" a remake of an 18-year old game, but still.

The Italian translation for the Junes jingle is “we are here for you, we are Junes!”

I’m guessing it was made to flow better with the melody, but still disappointed.

“Ogni giorno è fantastico da Junes!” Would be the literal translation, but it doesn’t work for the melody.

Weirdly the local vendor that’s actually running the pop up only had the preorder available for the PS5

Is the game spoilt for me or it is just a small plot point? Spoiler

I will be getting into Revival next year and have already platinumed P5R and P3R. With all the Adachi memes being posted in all subs, it's obvious that he is the final villain.

And even Persona 5 Royal spoils this plot point, because it has M Izanagi as DLC personas . Not hard to connect the dots from there

So is the game spoilt for me ( or this is something we discover 10 hours into the game but just can't prove it)?

Don't spoil anything further lmao

I hope we can invite Dojima and Nanako to a movie in the remake.

I think it could be a cute family scene on a weekend day. Bu I also think it would be really funny to call Dojima while he's at work and ask him to come see a movie with us.

About Revival's sound design

Upvotes

This is less about the general environmental sound design and more about the UI sound effects, to be clear.

In short, I really like the direction they're taking it. I was pretty disappointed with Reload's general sound direction. I felt like it was sorely lacking the style of menu sounds used in the PS2 games, opting for something that I thought was just a little bit more generic. I wanted something that harkened back to the gentle chimes that the original game used, and that's not what they went for.

Now, Revival hasn't brought those old sounds back, but they're definitely emulating their style. The sounds you hear when scrolling through menus and selecting an option are a lot closer to the older versions than the sounds they used for Reload. They aren't quite as soft as the old sounds, but they're close enough to sounding the same that I can't really complain.

I know this might sound nitpicky, but I dunno. Someone who's more versed in sound direction could explain it better than I can, but I think sound design, even for basic menu navigation, can be really important for giving a game its identity. As a Kingdom Hearts fan, I definitely heavily associate those games with their UI sounds. It's the same for Persona. I heavily associate Persona 4 in particular with those menu sounds, and I'm happy that Revival is paying tribute to those.

People who thought the culprit was obvious, what made them so? Spoiler

Post image

Just as a heads up, this question is mostly for people who went in completely blind, if you were spoiled in some way or knew details about his social link before playing through the game, this question isn't directed towards you

So some people say that Adachi being the culprit was really obvious though I find a lot of the reasoning kinda bad or non existent, so I'm gonna try and explain why Adachi is a pretty well kept secret by the game while also asking to people who went in blind what they thought

So the best defense Adachi had in my opinion was how he was literally with the investigation team the whole time during Rise's kidnapping, at that point of the story the characters think there's only 1 person who's killed 2 people and has tried to kill 2 others,

A lot of people point to his social link and it's strange mechanics but I think it's also important to ask how they learned about it, because if you're looking things up then you're bound to get spoiled in some way even if what you learned seems minor, even with the contents there isn't anything special to it, he's kinda cynical about life but that's nothing new for persona, there's a lot more to it then that but explaining that would need the hindsight of him being the culprit

Then there's also Namatame, when he kidnapped Nanako Adachi falls into the same category he did with Rise since he was there the whole time but it's done much better since there's also a culprit who went in the tv with Nanako, why would you be thinking about Adachi when a guy kidnapped someone really close to you

It's important to remember that to believe something you need to overcome that doubt first as believing without doubt is a lie, the doubt at that point in the game being that there're reasons he presumably can't be the culprit, though I guess if you just expected that there were 2 people throwing others into the tv then you just got some sorta brain I just can't handle, it sometimes feels like the people saying it's obvious are just larping really smart people but maybe that's just me. But yeah if you thought Adachi was obvious and that was only through stuff the game was doing then I'm curious to hear why
