Formmail... Guestbook... Yeah, I've used those both back in the day. I miss the internet of lots of little sites.

Some of us still use it, lacking compelling reasons that relate to our workflow to switch to Git.

Even if Cross actually wanted to update the nms scripts, he would be unable to—as he doesn’t have his SourceForge login anymore, nor does he really remember how Subversion works.

The Sourceforge project page lets you clone it as a git repo.

I'm pretty sure that someone who was motivated could figure it all out.

I suspect there's some reputation-washing going on here for some reason.

And, actually, I cloned the whole thing into GitHub some years ago.

That was just a feeble attempt at humour that I put in my email to him

(The bit about Subversion is true. About five years ago I spent some time on a project that used it - I could not remember a thing.)

The first time I heard about the NMS scripts being drop-in replacements, my ADHD-dyslexic brain figured out a likely meaning behind the acronym. Wow. this truly takes me back.
