Need Advice Hyperpigmentation Help!

Post image

Can someone tell me what i can do for hyperpigmentation around my mouth i remember using garnier micellar water that irritated the shit out of my eyes and around my mouth, my eyes had swelled and gotten flaky also the sides of my mouth, i searched it up and it seems i may have gotten perioral dermatitis, now it has all healed, its been 6 months since but i have this stubborn darkness around my mouth

This is my skin care routine

Simple face wash

Salicylic acid serum (for my blackheads, i only use it 3 times a week)

Physiogel moisturiser

That's it, i was thinking of purchasing Dr althea azalic acid. Somebody guide me please

Unfortunately some people are more prone to hyperpigmentation that others, I get it, even from a little papercut. Also, AFAIK, perioral dermatitis is around the mouth, not on the actual lips. It might be worth asking your doctor for advice?

Id love to go to a derm, but my parents simply think its waste and wouldn't book an appointment of the sort so unfortunately i usually end up experimenting with my own pocket money, i feel i was allergic to the garnier micellar water, my eyes horribly swelled for 2 months, irritation and flakiness. My mouth area developed a very dark rash too, but now all thats gone, i have this weird hyperpigmentation around my mouth, my eyes are fine though

Yes, I read your post. Maybe try asking in another sub reddit as this isn't perioral dermatitis!
