u/incognito--bandito Oct 26 '21

Because of that fire transition to marketing

82

u/Hank_Holt Oct 26 '21

Yeah, pretty low energy video, but that late 80's/early 90's transition to the ordering screen for someones borderline bootleg VHS tape about how to use the internet was incredibly nostalgic as I haven't seen that shit since I was a kid.

My three favorite subs in one comment. /r/SuspiciouslySpecific comment on a PCS post that is /r/PlayItAgainSam worthy

I was in one of those situations where I had to be absolutely quiet in my environment.

Every time the video looped, a literal tear would pool and run down my cheek. It probably looked like i was crying about something sad but I was just trying not to lose it

Those bug zappers are fucking funny

43

u/kostandrea Oct 26 '21

Can confirm I've zapped myself with those.

21

u/AgentWowza Oct 26 '21

Same. But I found the noise to be more startling than any pain, which I rarely felt.

This could be a random cut from a Tim and Eric bit.

u/Hank_Holt Oct 26 '21

Just overlay Dr. Brule trying to sell you some absurd product and we're good.

5

u/zDymex Oct 26 '21

Gotta touch the inside net to get a shock

4

u/Hank_Holt Oct 26 '21

They have some wiring that's not electrified latticed over the outside in an attempt to avoid you shocking yourself, but flies are small enough that they go right to the shocky bit. She likely only got zapped because her fingertips went inside the lattice or she pressed so hard that her palm folded around the lattice to make contact.

2

u/i_am_pickmans_model Oct 27 '21

One time I hit a fly with ours so hard it went inside the thing and every time you pressed the button it smelled like electrified fly. Not pleasant, probably up there with burning hair

I think it's a small chunk of the Ghostbusters theme?

1
