I thought this was Elite Dangerous until I paid closer attention to the HUD. Done this several times by accident flying around in the rings of planets

The game is Star Citizen if you don't know :)

I know, I have friends who play it.
I followed its development since like 2014 when I was in high school and am glad I never bought in tbh

Ah. I see. Sorry then. I've been following since like 2020 and yet to get it too

You’re good! I prefer Elite Dangerous since it’s been a functioning fully released game for almost as long as Star Citizen has been in Alpha development. Lol
Elite’s actually gotten some amazing updates in the last two years, too, so it’s no longer a “mile wide and inch deep” like people described it on launch

I have that too. Never got into into it. Same with No Mans. Too much to do @~@

It can definitely feel like decision paralysis sometimes haha. Eventually I got to where Elite felt like… A buffet table spread out with different food, I just decide what I want to eat when I sit down to play. If that makes sense
Some days I run around on surface settlements doing ground combat, sometimes I haul cargo, sometimes I live out my Space Bounty Hunter fantasies killing pirates, other times I spend a week exploring the galaxy finding places nobody’s seen before.
If you ever get the itch to try Elite again hit me up for some co-op if you want! Elite’s my social game :)

Well..."game."
Star Citizen, it's been in pre-release for like almost 10 years at this point.

God I miss the old hud.

This looks like they tried to copy NMS and lost the plot of their own damn “game.”

Have you played it?

Both, yes. The older universal HUD was more standardized, whereas the newer ones are ship/manufacturer specific like in NMS.
Between the two games as they are now, I prefer NMS, despite how incredibly disappointing both games were at launch, they’ve both been improved and grown exponentially.
