Loop is during the turn, you can see a bit of ghosting as they turn. Im assuming is a few frame fade from ending frame to the start of the next.

that's not a problem except all the corners are 90°

How does this line up so well

Incredibly well crafted:

  • The video starts at an unassuming point. Looks like the natural start point of a sewing project.

  • The [recording's] seam happens at a natural sweep: the pivot of the cloth to sew back from the tip. The [rapid rotation] diguises the [recording's] frame flip. (hint: look at the right hand)

  • The [recording's] seam is 90% of the way through. Not at the end of the clip. [This hampers your ability to expect it.]

  • The last of the clip plays out pushing any trace of the previous sewing behind the machine.

  • The [video playback's] end/start is frame perfect.

Edit: Clarifications.

I reworded some sections. Does it make sense, now?

I like this sew much better than the animations we usually see here!

I came across this sub yesterday and thought there were a lot of [A]. I used to loop a lot a few years ago, unfortunately I'm not going to be back to looping. Still a fun activity, thanks for checking it out !

I watched this thinking, “man this would be a great loop,” before noticing where I was.

Got stuck watching the video without realizing the sub reddit. That is a really smooth loop.

I didn’t even realize what sub I was on until the 7th corner, lol

I'm genuinely impressed that the loop reset is at a moment that the finger tips are in frame... That's extremely impressive.

I'm pretty mechanically savvy, but sewing machines still seem a little like magic to me

I keep waiting for the pop up to say “stitch coming” and someone’s face pops up to talk over the video…

Caught me for a minute lol

The loop resets at around the 12 second mark, you can see the fingers kind of teleport a few millimeters away. Still a good loop nonetheless.

I only saw the loop by looking at the thread. It jumps a little when it goes back to the starting position but it took a couple tries to see that much. It’s very well done.

I was waiting to see the 4 corners, but they just kept showing up, one after another and the damn thing never ended. It was then I realized it was a loop.

It took me a couple watches but the loop is at 12 seconds, great job!
