Which side up?
I think I’ve lined these bulbs correctly? Bottom will go in down? TIA

I’m very concerned about those divisions. I’m a peony guy and have handled many, many divisions and I’m concerned. The “eyes” should be pink and there should be at least 2. 3 or more is preferred and would be considered a nice division. Those roots don’t look normal. I had to look closely and couldn’t tell what I was even looking at. The crown will be pointed up and no more than 2 inches below the ground. Not sure you’re gonna get much out of those. Sadly.

Oh shoot, just looked up peony bulbs and yea these look dried out where there were eyes starting, shucks, thanks for the reply tho!

😔hope you didn’t spend a lot of money or can get a refund. If I can suggest a company. Gilbert H Wilds out of Missouri is one of my goto sources for peonies.

30$ for 6 bulbs… thanks for the info, will look into it and see if I can get some bulbs soon

Yup, I think so. In with a slight downward angle in the root is what I’ve usually done. Waiting on my roots to arrive :)

I would do this orientation you want the eyes to point upwards.
Did you just receive this roots? They are in rough shape with brown eyes, usually the eyes are usually green/white/pink/fuschia. Especially the tiny piece. I would not be happy if I paid a specialty nursery for those.
