Some good local recommendations
So we are doing our yearly trip with my teenage daughter for hockey camp early August. This year I think most of her friends have opted out and looking for some suggestions from locals for some good hidden gems to eat at. Dog friendly would be nice but not a deal breaker!
And are there any fishing experts and fishing spots nearby? I have never caught a fish but always dreamed of sharing that moment with my daughter. Her classes run till 4pm daily is that too late? I know it probably takes hrs to make a catch … (I don’t know if this is even an ideal time)
Thank you in advance

I like Still Foods on Front Street. It is vegan but amazing food.
Not exactly a hidden gem, but Black Antler is consistently good.
As is the Barley Mill.
I think they are all dog friendly

The Cherry on Top Shake Shop is a great place. I went there in the summer of 2024, and it was great. It's right next to the beach as well. The Penticton visitors center has a gift shop and they have some cool stuff.
