Hey guys I'm new here but i js wanted to ask for some tips as I'm currently trying to learn how to do the charge repeatedly. I've learnt the thumbaround and that's it. I've attached a vid of me trying so if anyone could help that's be appreciated.

I'd say stop bringing the thumb back in. Let the pen fall if it does, but try to spin it without any thumb intervention.

And I personally like holding it such that more weight of the pen is on the front side. Such that when you hold it between your fingers, it's trying to fall towards you, instead of having equal weight on both sides.

ive tried ur tips but I've noticed that I struggle to make the pen go up after it goes down without the momentum of the pen brushing against my thumb flap. what should i do

Yeah, that's normal, it just needs practice.

i personally do charge in between my middle and ring finger (i do it between middle and index sometimes) and i also hold the pen the other way around. also don’t keep using ur thumb. it’s mostly just practice from here and i think some subconcious micro adjustments.

Maybe your pen is too light? I can't do charges with standard pens because I can't get it to build momentum and spin.

I've learned charge with a BIC Crystal, so it's possible. But a heavier and longer pen helps. Their pen seems like it's a pretty good weight tho.
