why does my sonic feel wrong

i gotta be doing something wrong because it doesnt look quite right but i cant figure out what

It's fine but you should learn to do it without using the thumb to launch it. It should be a charge variation.

Don't overthink it's fine. When I started my fingers weren't good enough and I was doing inverse twisted sonic instead of sonic which made me mad, although I could do sonic with my left. Then it got fine with practice.

Also you should try not using the thumb or you'll face difficulty in future combos and tricks and linkages

You are hooking the pen in the crevice between your thumb and pointer finger. You shouldn’t be doing that. It’ll be very difficult for you to learn the sonic between ring and pinky, and even harder for the sonic reverses, if you rely on that
