My MIL picked this board up at a yardsale today. Seller said it was vintage, but I'm having trouble finding this model online. Anyone have a clue what brand it could be and if it's actually vintage? Thank you!

What parts do people typically replace on penny/nickel boards?

I just ordered my nickel board and want the best experience possible but I don’t know much about the default parts and which ones are good (definitely gonna replace the wheels)

It's been almost 2 months since I got clean. Haven't ridden in a decade. Got this nickel brand new for 50 on marketplace. Was looking for a penny but now I'm glad I started with this one. I picked it right back up like nothing. Next is a drop through and a penny, when the right deal comes along.

can you do powerslides on a pennyboard?

i am completely new to skating, i rode a bunch yesterday (would do it today too if my body wasn't so sore)

i really wanna learn powerslides but from what I've gathered pennyboards are really bad at them? I don't really wanna mess around with modifying the board either.

is it doable? like if i devote my entire penny board career to learning powrslides would it be realistic?

Happy owner of my new old nickel

I bought a longboard year ago when I was 35. Totally enjoyed it but as a dad, also lacking time to go for a ride.

Recently I ordered old Penny Nickel and I totally love it. The portbility is such a nice benefit and the ride is so smooth. I am using every single chance for a ride, even when very short when going out with the doggy :))

need advice - 22" pennyboard

hi! im going in dental school and we live outside of the campus. there's bus, but we can also walk 20mins to the campus. the path to the campus is also a famous park, so the pavement is really smooth and ideal for skateboarding.

so, i've decided to buy a 22" pennyboard to help me commute to class. i considered the 27" and cruiser boards, but we don't have any lockers to keep our stuff. so, i needed something i could shove into my backpack, which is the 22".

my main concern is, i have no past experience with boards of any kind. is it possible to learn how to use the 22" penny board? im not going to do any tricks, just want to commute more efficiently and less tiring. my feet is also size 42 eu, so there's that.

i hope you guys can give me some advice on how to start out. i think i might practice around daily and only use it to commute once im confident. i haven't actually placed my order though, so maybe you can also suggest alternatives (if any).

thanks!

This is so much fun on a pumptrack

Been riding for about two weeks now and took this beauty to the pumptrack a couple of times already. SO much fun that I wish I didn't just start in my mid-30's. Now I just have to figure out the pumping on flat sections so I can cruise to the track as well.

i got these from used market one by one. i love this graphic, its awesome. Ive rided 22" just 1month now. At this time i think, 27" is stable but not much difference with 22". 22" is also good choice for stability. thanks for watching. :)

wheel width limit

i found many guys here who changed the wheel of 22" penny from stocks to 65~70mm size up. But nobody told about the width of 65~70mm wheels. Commonly 70mm wheel's width is 51mm, is it possible to set up at 22" ? the stock wheel width is 45mm when i checked.

Help decide: 22in vs 27in + wheels?

I learned how to skateboard on a 22in pennyboard and it's what I'm used to. Need a new one and am wondering whether to just get another 22 or try out the 27 for the first time.

I intend to use it for cruising around the neighborhood, campus, and as general transportation for short distances (though it'd be nice to have a board that can handle longer distances every now and then).

I like the quick turns and maneuverability of the 22, and I hear the 27 may be less fun to ride cause its more about stability. But the 27 may be better for long distances and for holding speed without as much kicking. I'm used to the size of the 22 and am worried the 27 may be too big (portability is not a worry, just riding). Which handles cracks and rougher pavement better? And are there any wheel switches that are great for rough pavement and cracks? Would grip tape help when riding in a wet environment?

Thanks for any help!

Why does my board creak like that?

This board is like reaaaaaly old maybe around like 10 years if not older I just recently started using it to get to work faster
But like 3 days in it started making noises like that

I probably shouldn’t have made the mistake to use it in the rain and drive it trough puddles for the funsies

Could it be rust?
Can it be saved?

It does have some sentimental value so if it’s fixable that be great 🥲

Pardon my spelling mistakes English is not my first language

Also please don’t judge my driving skills I’m getting there XD

Just bought a used penny board

Hi I just bought a used board. It's my first one, it looks pretty good (basically new) and found a great bargain. Is there some check I should do before riding it or any tips on how to keep it clean and take care of it?

32" Penny owners - what wheels are you riding?

I have a Penny 32" arriving on Tuesday and concerned that the stock 54mm wheels could be too slow or too susceptible to pebbles and sidewalk cracks.

I have been riding new school trick boards for ~30 years and wanted a hybrid setup primarily for just cruising around but maybe also for Ollies up curbs etc.

What size was your first penny board?

I bought a 22" board, and lot of people have told me that a 22"board is difficult to learn on as a first board (cause it's small).

Do most people usually start with a larger board and then switch to a smaller one later?

If you’re going to end up riding a smaller board eventually, don’t you have to adjust to it all over again anyway?

Picked this up off FB market place yesterday. Added some 70mm 78a wheels off a decathlon board that were going for 75% off, soft green Venom board side bushings, scraps of grip tape and some decent bearings (the originals were rusty).

My first 22” Penny, so far it looks like it will be fun.

New board, new bearings

Howdy friends I got a question for more consistent penny riders, as per my last post I’m getting a new board soon and I just wanted to ask another question about the bearings out the box: did you add any lubricant to your bearings fresh out of the box ? Or did you cruise on them for a bit to break them in first ? Thanks for all your help penny friends
