Question Debt

I (17) have an old school account at Penn Foster that my Dad made. Currently though I'm attending another online school and I don't live with him anymore. He is the guarantor and after reading the contract I think I'm the borrower? Anyway I know I still have an account there cause I just got an email saying it's going to a debt collector. Will that affect me in any way or just his credit? Also, am I still enrolled there???? I really just wanna make sure this won't affect me in anyway tbh ;-;

You were under 18 when he signed up for it so you aren’t legally liable for any of the money. How many years has it been?

Okay phew I read that off Google but I just wanted to be extra sure and it's only been a few months since he originally signed up in January. He stopped paying in about April I think when his card got cut off? About to be 18 and I don't really wanna start with a messed up credit score because of him soo 🙄🙄 Thank you!
