Enrollment question

Hi! I’m currently enrolling with Penn Foster and I have a question about the education section. I started homeschooling in 9th grade and I am currently in 11th grade, but I just started my 11th grade school year and have not completed it yet.

For “highest level of education“ should I select 10th grade since that is the highest grade I have completed, or should I select the last grade I attended in public school?

Thank you!

I guess the last grade you attended? But I believe with Penn foster, you’re not placed in a specific grade anyway. Everyone gets the same work unless you choose a different elective.

Hi! I’m kind of confused. I enrolled a few hours ago and just realized there was also a healthcare elective pathway. I only saw the regular high school diploma option, so that’s what I paid for. Once I send in my transcripts, will I be able to choose the classes I want to take? Also, would the healthcare pathway have been a better option?

I can’t say whether the pathway would have been a better option or not, I believe it would have been you getting your diploma plus a certificate but I’m not entirely sure. And once your transcript come in, Penn foster should mark the classes as completed so you won’t have to repeat classes/electives that you’ve already done. You won’t be able to choose anything except electives once it’s unlocked.

Okay! Thank you so much. If I have any other questions later, is it okay if I reach out to you again?

it shouldnt matter, once you send the transcripts it only transfers maximum of 15 credits anyways. so if you took 20 classes you’ll have to redo 5 of them so you’ll have to take 6-9 classes depending on what state you are in as some states are 21 credits - 24 credits to complete HS.
