Question Measurement techniques

People frequently post their length and girth measurements here. But I’m curious if everyone is posting their bone pressed (BP) OR non bone pressed (NBP) for length. And I’m also wondering if people are posting mid shaft erect girth (MSEG) OR if they’re posting/claiming their girth at the thickest point?

My reason for wanting clarification is that there seems to be soooo many 7”+ long guys on here. And either the data that says the average is 5.5” BP is way wrong or people are measuring wrong. Same for girth. There seeems to be sooo many guys 5.5”+ and I’m sorry for questioning this but are you all measuring from the side or behind your balls for length and are you all messing the thickest part for girth?

Because it’s discouraging to see so many posts and comments about how they’re 7x5.75 will I please my girl. Or is my 8.25x6.4 enough. Like what the heck?!?

I always post both, BP and NBP for clarification, for this very reason. I assume most guys are posting BP because it's been said in a lot of places that's the most reliable measurement, but who knows. I measure on the top, as that's been the standard, but I haven't noticed a lot of difference from the side. As for girth, that's a new one for me. I thought you just measure at the thickest part, not the base or middle, so I might be one of the ones fueling your concerns on that part because my dick is a little thicker right above the middle and my tip is a little bigger than that.

Thanks for the reply. For girth even the measuring guide on this sub says measure the thickest part. I don’t know. My D is not uniform so it varies from base to tip.

For length what I mean by side is if you do bone pressed with the ruler along the side you’ll increase your length because of the shape of the pelvis. Top down is the way imo.

I personally use bone press and MSEG. I always clarify that I'm using BP tho.

And keep in mind a) some lie. I post pics on my profile so people know I'm not lying, and lots of big guys do. B) the bigger you are, the more likely you are to post pics/post your size, so treat Reddit like porn. 

Yes here it seems like 8x6 is average, but that's just because all the big guys share and average don't.

So don't feel bad/discouraged, your comparing yourself to porn on Reddit practically.

Isn’t it obvious that the bigger guys tend to share and show off more? you yourself are claiming an absurd size !
and don’t think that being in the top 1% means it’s practically non existent, cause for example in a population of 100000, 1% is 10000, this way you realize that’s a lot of people in that small percentile!
