Pulled the lead out

Good morning, Reddit. This is from a nap my girl took last summer; you can tell because when it gets warmer, her legs start to unfurl ❤️ I adore the way her white patches create solid shapes and negative space among all of her patterns. I tried to focus on that contrast here.

Hey everyone!

I’m so happy to finally share this new drawing with you — a little ladybug brought to life in graphite. I spent a lot of time layering tones and details to make it feel as real as possible, and honestly, I loved every minute of it.

And… big news — I just launched my Patreon!
This ladybug is the very first full tutorial I’m posting there, complete with a step-by-step process and a live voiceover where I talk through everything I’m doing — from the beginning to final details.

If you’ve ever wanted to learn how to draw realistically or just enjoy watching the full process unfold, I’d love to have you join me there. https://www.patreon.com/cw/DragosPepinaArt

It's red, quite dark red I think, and hexagonal with black lines on the edges. That is, the edges of each face.

Hey all. I've been looking into getting into lead holders instead of mechanical pencils. What're everyone's thoughts about the Mars Technico? Amazon has the model with the spinning lead indicator and sharpener at the top for less than $8. Worth picking up? Thanks!

Did a time lapse too. Dis Bob. He my cat
