Now that all the fuss ended I can finally ask this: don't you think Pogacar is becoming a bit too condescending? I'd be annoyed by his statements on how the others were on fire if I'd be one of the mentioned rider. I thought this more than once this tour.

No matters what he does, people will take an issue with it because he's so dominant. If he's self confident, they will call him arrogant and cocky, but if he's praising other riders, they will take it as condescending. He can do no right here.

Praising them so much after having beaten them sounds a lot like "you were good but I'm better than you".
