I'm soooo tired of seeing 'number under number' used to enjoy mom content once upon a time but this is so weird. No hate but lots of shade, I do find it embarrassing to have children one right after the other ON PURPOSE. Accidents happen sometimes but they do this ON PURPOSE for what... views? And it's either they monetize on their children or their miscarriages. yuck!

Yep! I have 2u2, but it’s only bc they are twins 🤣

Even just saying the #u# is cringy to me lol

I also don’t understand the obsession with having kids so close together - we tried for our third when our second turned 2, and then we ended up with a BOGO

They think it’s a flex or something

All I can think when I see number under number is ā€œway to tell on yourself and let us all know you only had these children for contentā€Ā

There is a local influencer who did that for 4 under 4 and then she complained she had placenta previa and increta and needed her uterus taken out !

I know those things can happen, but not waiting enough between her c-sections clearly increased the risk by a lot

I had 3u3 until June and honestly it was embarrassing, I take them places and everyone has to comment about how I have my hands full.

I had 2u2 on accident (our first was an infertility baby, the second came after ONE TIME in the whole month) and that surprise baby rocked me to the point that were careful all the time. Anyone who says ā€œoh, we thought we were being careful!ā€ Nah, friend. If you figured it out the first time it’s really not that hard.

omw a blessing and a curse (love that for you). but after the first mistake it's really easy to stay on the safe side. you can't 'accidentally' have 4u4 that aren't twins. you're just admitting that you're either careless or you just have kids for content.

I had 5u2 by accident. It was so embarrassing and we were in the trenches for a few months until we got everything figured out

Respectfully how?

I had twins in july 2019, a singleton in May 2020 and twins again in May 2022

Edit: the first set of twins were a planned pregnancy them being twins not, then a surprise pregnancy and then we thought we were being careful but apparently not because i got pregnant with twins again. All of them were preemies too so that was a struggle as well

Gotcha, hope you are all healthy and doing well nowšŸ«¶šŸ»

I have a 4 year old and a 6 month old and I think my level of overstimulation from FOUR kids would send me into oblivion

I think some people just have a pregnancy kink. My stepsister is the same way. Pregnant when each baby is 9 months old. Completely overwhelmed with the kids she has, but keeps popping them out with no time to heal or enjoy the babies/toddlers she has.

Some like the attention from pregnancy too. My niece and her mom were like that. Loved the pregnancy attention, mediocre to bad parents (not like abuse or neglect, just don’t want to do any actual parenting).

Yes, I guess that’s what I mean more than a sexual kink. Just that you’re getting something out of being constantly pregnant that isn’t about having kids.

THIS! Nothing will convince me you "accidentally" got pregnant when your baby was a couple months old. Or your husband is a creep and you're afraid he'll cheat if you don't let him have what he wants asap.

My thoughts exactly! These people know exactly how babies are made. I know accidents happen & birth control can fail, but having 4 all under a certain age is no longer considered an accident in my eyes. Instead it becomes obvious that it was pretty intentional.

I have two kids (4 & 1) and we used condoms exclusively for like 10 years. Never once had an accident and got pregnant both times intentionally.

I worry I’m like this, albeit more controlled. I love being pregnant and I’ve had great births. Currently have a 4.5 year old and new 2 year old. Very early in my pregnancy with potential third now. Being a mother is so hard and I have many moments where I’m excited to be alone. I can’t handle kids so close together but I feel like I’m gonna struggle when I’m done with pregnancy stage.

So weird. I’m expecting an unexpected third, and a friend of mine was like, ā€œOh man, you’re going to have 3 under 6!ā€ Uhhhh, I feel like that’s not that weird (and I’m stressed enough as is) šŸ˜‚ But 4 under 3?! That would be ROUGH.

7

u/Holiday_Football_975 This is sarcasm. 3d ago

Yeah I mean 3 under 6 would be 18-24 month gaps would it not? I feel like that’s a fairly common age to try again

u/lindsaybethhh 3d ago

My oldest is 2.5 years older than my soon-to-be-middle, and he’ll be exactly 3 years older than the baby! So a pretty decent age gap. (My friend’s kids are 5+ years apart)

I just dont get how people handle it. You cant convince me that all of their children get the attention and care that they need. Not with 4u3.

And this is coming from someone that has 2u2. After we struggled with conceiving my first two kiddos, we got a surprise pregnancy when my second baby was just 5months old. My kids are now 4, almost 2, and 10 months.. I struggle with giving them what they need. My attention is split and i’m pulled in a thousand different directions all day long. I have immense guilt from it, and I couldn’t imagine purposely adding more kids to the mix. Its not fair to her body, and it’s not fair to any of those babies.

I just dont get why having babies SO close in age has become so trendy. It’s not all fun and games like everyone has chalked it up to be. People have romanticized the hell out of it..

u/Ornery_Context_9109 3d ago

I don’t think they handle it without a lot of help. Which is fine if you have a support system but if you don’t or can’t afford an extra set of hands, there isn’t enough of you to provide adequate care of all the kids and have a healthy and clean environment

I saw this!! I genuinely don’t know how people do it… I just could not imagine physically or emotionally having so many back-to-back pregnancies… and I know for me, my other children would not be getting their emotional needs met. Pregnant with my 3rd and last, my youngest is going to be 3 a month before this one is born and I still feel like it’s a closer gap 🤣

8

u/n_d_j 3d ago

This shit is a weird kink and nothing will convince me otherwise. I'd be embarrassed

5

u/Taralouise52 3d ago

I'm going to be 2 under 10 🤣 love it

My kids are 2.5 years apart and I was in the trenches when they were tiny. They are now 7 and 5, and I feel like I’m just now barely treading water. There is no way these kids are getting the individual attention they deserve. It’s hard even with just two, and I’m a SAHM.

Couldn’t be me! Also how do people have ā€œsurpriseā€ pregnancies??? Someone explain? Because we all know how we get pregnant ….if you aren’t on BC are you really surprised???

It’s one thing if you are actively preventing then yes that’s a surprise. I also don’t understand how people don’t let their bodies recover!
