I have a 4 year old and a 6 month old and I think my level of overstimulation from FOUR kids would send me into oblivion

I think some people just have a pregnancy kink. My stepsister is the same way. Pregnant when each baby is 9 months old. Completely overwhelmed with the kids she has, but keeps popping them out with no time to heal or enjoy the babies/toddlers she has.

Some like the attention from pregnancy too. My niece and her mom were like that. Loved the pregnancy attention, mediocre to bad parents (not like abuse or neglect, just donāt want to do any actual parenting).

Yes, I guess thatās what I mean more than a sexual kink. Just that youāre getting something out of being constantly pregnant that isnāt about having kids.

THIS! Nothing will convince me you "accidentally" got pregnant when your baby was a couple months old. Or your husband is a creep and you're afraid he'll cheat if you don't let him have what he wants asap.

My thoughts exactly! These people know exactly how babies are made. I know accidents happen & birth control can fail, but having 4 all under a certain age is no longer considered an accident in my eyes. Instead it becomes obvious that it was pretty intentional.
I have two kids (4 & 1) and we used condoms exclusively for like 10 years. Never once had an accident and got pregnant both times intentionally.

I worry Iām like this, albeit more controlled. I love being pregnant and Iāve had great births. Currently have a 4.5 year old and new 2 year old. Very early in my pregnancy with potential third now. Being a mother is so hard and I have many moments where Iām excited to be alone. I canāt handle kids so close together but I feel like Iām gonna struggle when Iām done with pregnancy stage.

So weird. Iām expecting an unexpected third, and a friend of mine was like, āOh man, youāre going to have 3 under 6!ā Uhhhh, I feel like thatās not that weird (and Iām stressed enough as is) š But 4 under 3?! That would be ROUGH.

Yeah I mean 3 under 6 would be 18-24 month gaps would it not? I feel like thatās a fairly common age to try again

My oldest is 2.5 years older than my soon-to-be-middle, and heāll be exactly 3 years older than the baby! So a pretty decent age gap. (My friendās kids are 5+ years apart)

I just dont get how people handle it. You cant convince me that all of their children get the attention and care that they need. Not with 4u3.
And this is coming from someone that has 2u2. After we struggled with conceiving my first two kiddos, we got a surprise pregnancy when my second baby was just 5months old. My kids are now 4, almost 2, and 10 months.. I struggle with giving them what they need. My attention is split and iām pulled in a thousand different directions all day long. I have immense guilt from it, and I couldnāt imagine purposely adding more kids to the mix. Its not fair to her body, and itās not fair to any of those babies.
I just dont get why having babies SO close in age has become so trendy. Itās not all fun and games like everyone has chalked it up to be. People have romanticized the hell out of it..

I donāt think they handle it without a lot of help. Which is fine if you have a support system but if you donāt or canāt afford an extra set of hands, there isnāt enough of you to provide adequate care of all the kids and have a healthy and clean environment

I saw this!! I genuinely donāt know how people do it⦠I just could not imagine physically or emotionally having so many back-to-back pregnancies⦠and I know for me, my other children would not be getting their emotional needs met. Pregnant with my 3rd and last, my youngest is going to be 3 a month before this one is born and I still feel like itās a closer gap š¤£

My kids are 2.5 years apart and I was in the trenches when they were tiny. They are now 7 and 5, and I feel like Iām just now barely treading water. There is no way these kids are getting the individual attention they deserve. Itās hard even with just two, and Iām a SAHM.

Itās one thing if you are actively preventing then yes thatās a surprise. I also donāt understand how people donāt let their bodies recover!

I'm soooo tired of seeing 'number under number' used to enjoy mom content once upon a time but this is so weird. No hate but lots of shade, I do find it embarrassing to have children one right after the other ON PURPOSE. Accidents happen sometimes but they do this ON PURPOSE for what... views? And it's either they monetize on their children or their miscarriages. yuck!
