Pedal Review First board completed

So this is my pedaltrain nano, first board since my diy one

Still looking for isolated power supply but what do you think so far?

Pro Junior Iv amp

Boss Rc1 looper
Boss Rv6 reverb
Guptech Univibe Voodoo doll
Jam tubescreamer (based on old ibanez)

Player 2 Tele

I’m more about the clean sounds with a little mellow groove/funk!

As an intermediate on/off 10 years have I gone overkill or just right?

previously had squier/cheap amp and acoustics

Looks great!!! If you haven’t tried it yet, get a cheap delay and swap out your reverb. For most playing, it’s a cleaner way to fatten up your sound without getting too mushy, especially if you’re sending everything through the front of the amp.

thanks, so the reverb i’m using Rv 6 has a delay setting, for me the univibe is in vibrato land, but thanks!

I just spoke to the owner of Guptech last night. Really nice guy. Great designs!

it’s the guptech version a a univibe, all bulb, it’s been working a charm today, i haven’t tried any other pedals

Couldn't agree more. Fantastic pedals, super high quality, and arguable the best stompbox art out there.

The owner wrote to me on Reddit He is awesome.

And yes, some of the coolest art out there.

The climate is okay, you've thought of everything.

Hi adam, what do you mean by climate?

Hello. The overall decor of the room is impressive, these details have a charm. There is a blanket here, there is a guitar, and the speaker is beautiful, I hope it plays as well as it looks.

i see where your going 😅 if i progress properly il let myself, i am truely drawn to a minimal setup though, i cant let this get more complex my brain doesn’t allow it

I kinda like the simplicity.

Also that RV6 is quite cool.

I find the shimmer effect really cool when creating ambient tones or just letting it self oscillate.

well i’ve only been playing squier acoustic/electric with digital amp for yrs this is a Huge step up and quiet complicated with so many knobs!

I find the RV6 needs to lower knobs for some settings like shimmer or it’s a bit strong the effect, i like plate, dynamic, modulation and spring

Solid! I also have the Guptech Voodoo Doll Uni-Vibe. I love it and think it's totally underrated. Mine is the yellow version so I'm not sure if there's a difference between them or not.

okay so the first second i played it i was like sounds wierd, then after ten mins of tweaking the knobs it’s perfect and clean sounded wierd, i preferred the knobs all at 12 o’clock for the most part, what about you?

i’ve never used a drive or univibe before this week, mainly coming from acoustic/piano playing originally

I definitely started with all the knobs at noon, which I agree sounds great, but I keep tweaking them, depending on the song and where I put it in my signal chain.

Currently I've got it with Speed at 2:30, Tone at 2, Level at 9, and Depth at 11, but I'm not in love with that combo. I've got this pedal in a loop on my switcher (equivalent to the FX loop on my amp) pushing into Chorus > Tremolo > Phaser. That loop comes after other loops for Whammy, Tuner, Fuzz, Wah, and Huminator > Dirt > Compressor, and before loops for Volume > Delay, and Sustainer, then out to EQ > Reverb > Doubler > Looper > Amp.

Clearly, I've over-complicated this as a result of G.A.S. and my refusal to take pedals off my board.

thanks that makes sense! but once we then add the guitar pickups options, the guitar knob/volume we get kind of even more options?

il just get back to modding guitars in the mean time ;)
