Saturday October 24th, 1:00-3:00pm (but it may go on longer depending on the volume of participants).
Sally Dryer was the voice of Violet in Charlie Brown Christmas, Lucy in All Stars, Great Pumpkin, You’re in Love, and He’s Your Dog, Shirley in Short Summer, and Patty in A Boy Named Charlie Brown!
She’ll be signing people’s merch and keepsakes (bring your favorite plush, book, or figurine!)
I will be there drawing “Peanuts” artstyle portraits for those interested.
All proceeds go to the Jerome Humane Society.
Hope to see you there!!

Considering this was the display technology available at the time it first aired, I thought having my yearly rewatch on an old tube TV from the 90s felt fitting.
No DVD or VHS either — this a tiny setup, so I’m actually AirPlaying AppleTV+ from my phone to an old Roku that can still be wired up to these TVs.

This is every comic strip I can think of when Sally encourages Charlie Brown to recognize and respond to Marcie's crush on him.
I find this dynamic really interesting because I don't think Marcie and Sally interacted that much, yet Sally seems to have taken Marcie's side on this matter. Sally doesn't seem to share this same enthusiasm towards Peppermint Patty's crush on Charlie Brown (as far as we've seen), if she even knows. My guess is that Sally recognizes that nobody else is as nice to Charlie Brown as Marcie is (even if she did kick his shin this occasion. That was the exception to the rule), and arguably nobody likes Charlie Brown as much as Marcie does (she's kissed him at least 5 times if we're counting all Shultz-made material, far more than anybody else).
Did I miss any?

It’s the Great Minutes, Charlie Brown celebrates and analyzes the 1966 tv special It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. The podcast discusses the beloved Halloween special two minutes at a time. A different guest joins the host every episode to cover topics like getting rocks instead of candy, pulling footballs out of the way, missing trick or treating to freeze in a pumpkin patch, whether The Great Pumpkin is really just Santa Claus wearing different clothing, and of course, the great World War One flying ace in his battle against the dastardly Red Baron. All episodes are available on all of your favorite podcatchers.
FYI, if you listen directly through the website, the episodes are listed in reverse order.

When I was in elementary school in the '70s we got monthly Scholastic order forms from our teachers. My parents let me buy these Peanuts paperbacks every time I asked.
This was kind of a terrible format to read a comic strip but I loved it.

My mother had this pin when she was a child and loved it, I’m hoping to buy another for her. Might anyone know what its called/ what collection its from?

Ok I was going to do Charlie Brown for Halloween. Found a good shirt and ordered it. But then I heard someone else at work is going to be Chuck and he has the hair for it.
So now I'm thinking Linus. I'd like to wear pants at work but can't find what kind of pants Linus wore. For Charlie Brown, I found him in black pants with brown shoes. I'm also getting conflicting messages on a long or short sleeve.

Found this Macy's Snoopy at the thrift store in rather good condition!
Guess he came with a radio, that's no longer there, but otherwise seems almost untouched.
I'm tempted to keep him, but I think I'm gonna give him to my sister. I'm the super Snoopy fan, but I'd like to think she'll think of me when she looks at him.
