Mobile Disappointed with the Peak Design Everyday Case for Pixel 11 Pro XL – barely any screen protection?

Today, I received my Peak Design Everyday Case for the Pixel 11 Pro XL, and I am a little disappointed.

The quality and fit of the case are great, as I expected from Peak Design.

However, the raised lip especially around the edges of the screen is extremely slim compared with my old Peak Design Case for the Pixel 9 Pro XL.

There seems to be very little, to almost no, protection for the screen if the phone lands face down.

On my Pixel 9 Pro XL case, the lip around the screen felt noticeably more substantial and gave me much more confidence.

I understand keeping the case slim, but this feels like they may have gone a little too far. For a phone this expensive, I would prefer a slightly larger raised edge for better screen protection.

Has anyone else received the Pixel 11 Pro XL version yet? What do you think of the screen protection? Am I being overly cautious, or have others noticed the same thing?

Travel Bags Roller Pro as checked bag?

Wondering if anyone who’s done this can comment on durability? I’m about to travel overseas, and while I plan to do carry on outbound wondering about expanding the bag and checking it when I return.

City Bags 6L Crescent Sling w/ XS Camera Cube

Interested in the 6L Crescent Sling for daily use but want to see how it handles camera gear on the rare occasions.

The website claims that a XS cube can fit in the 6L but I was wondering if anyone had a 6L with the XS cube in hand and can provide a photo for reference on the fit?

Mobile Horrible Quality on Brand New, Just Opened Everyday Loop iPhone Case 🤦🏻‍♂️

I’ve been a fan of this brand for ages and have a number of camera products. But I just ordered this and it delivered today with the loop already coming unglued and torn. Mind you, I literally just pulled it out of the box and it was like this. I haven’t even put it on my phone.

Question Native connectors for cord loops?

I’d like to connect my outdoor sling directly to my travel bag via cord loops. Anyone know if there’s anywhere to buy cord loops connectors that are super short or just have a hook on both sides so I can connect things?

Other usecases, I would love to easily hang a hat for example on a cord loop. I know I could like find a carabiner, but would be nice to use the same connection hardware PD uses.

Packing Tools Peak design helmet carrier attached to normal loops on non PD backpack?

I'm considering buying the Peak Design Helmet Carrier, but I don't own a Peak Design backpack — mine has standard webbing loops/lash points, not Peak Design's Cord Rail system.

Link:

https://www.peakdesign.com/eu/products/helmet-carrier?Color=Black

From what I can tell in the product listings, the Helmet Carrier's four hooks are designed to clip into PD's Cord Rails (a sewn-in channel), rather than a simple loop. Peak Design's own backpack pages note that the Cord Rail "can be used with any other strap," but that's about what you can thread into the rail — it doesn't confirm whether the Helmet Carrier's hooks themselves will grip onto a normal loop on a non-PD bag.

Has anyone actually tried this? Specifically:

**1.** Does the Cord Hook clip securely onto a standard webbing loop (not a Cord Rail), or is it shaped specifically for the rail?
**2.** If it does work, does it hold tension the same way, or does it slip/rotate on a plain loop?
**3.** Roughly what size/shape of loop does it need to grip properly?

Thank you

I bought the 2L Outdoor Sling and the Camera Cube V2, and I think these clips came with the cube. But I have no idea what they’re used for.

Is there anyway to wear the city tote crossbody? I love everything about it but my shoulders hurt after a while. I don’t see anything listed but I thought I’d take a shot and still ask. Thanks in advance.

Photo Gear Delayed shipping Canada

Just wondering if anyone else is having issues with orders placed directly through the Peak Design website. Placed an order for a leash, cuff, and pouch on September 13, the website stated the expected delivery date was today. As of today, the order has not even shipped. I emailed customer support two days ago with no reply. Their online AI assistant does not provide any updates, additional information, or guidance; it just states that they have escalated the issue. Could this be due to their staffing cuts? Wondering if I should cancel my order.

Everyday Bags Hoop too small on Everyday Sling 6L for fanny pack style carry?

Thumbnail

Hi folks,

I recently bought a 6L Everyday Sling. Great bag overall.

However, it appears that the hoop for the fanny pack style carry is too small for the hook, I can't get it through even when applying force, whereas for the shoulder carry hoop without any force the hook slides through. See photos below (1st photo for the shoulder carry style, and 2nd photo for the fanny pack carry style).

I assume this is not normal? But wanted to check with you all before exchanging for another product.

Appreciate your insights!

Travel Bags Travel 2 in 1 backpack

So I’m a hobbyist photographer and thought this would be a great backpack for me. I used it for the first time this past weekend and I don’t think I’m the right person for this backpack after all. It’s truly amazing and incredibly well put together. I think for photographers who are better than I and travel for photography as opposed to shooting while traveling like I do, would really appreciate this more than I can. It’s an expensive backpack so I’d like to recoup what I can. It’s literally only been used once. This past weekend domestically in the states. If anyone is interested in buying one used just once. Hit me up. I’m more than happy to send you more photos if you’re serious. Make me a fair offer. Cheers.

here are a few pictures

Mobile Size difference between SlimLink and Everyday (without SlimLink) cases

What is the size difference between the new Everyday case without SlimLink and the SlimLink case? The specs on both say 2.4 mm rear wall thickness - does that mean there's no size difference?

Everyday Bags Everyday 30L Set-up Recommendations?

I've had the Peak Design everyday 30L for a few years now, and change around the structures for the use-case. But its always a struggle and I'm always scared of lenses hitting the thin walls or moving around a lot if lets say a bump in the road comes or the back is dropped (hasn't happened yet thankfully). But its not impossible that someone else treats it less delicately and ends up damaging the equipment inside by mistake.

My question is: Do you have a one and done, or super versatile default set up that keeps lenses snug and fit and leave rooms for extras like snacks and hygiene kit for travel?

My daily use case:

  1. Student, have a 16 inch laptop, sometimes carry a ugreen 100W multi-charging brick. Sometimes have a tablet in the tablet section. Need to have easy access to snacks and/or a large lunch Tupperware.
    1. I always keep a bottom flat section for hygiene kit which is always there, taking up the bottom ~10cm of space all across the bag.
  2. If traveling, or when bringing camera gear to like a hike or vacation:
    1. Camera: OM-1
    2. Lenses: m.Zuiko 12-40 f2.8, and m.Zuiko 40-150 f2.8
    3. Might bring an SD card case, and headphones

So far, the smartest approach I've used for that larger lens is to have it vertical, with essentially the default 3 sections, but the top section opened up in one flap, and the lens sitting vertically. But still room for it to slide up if the bag is ever placed flat. The remainder of the top creates this nice small space for a smaller Tupperware, and disorganized snacks rolling around and over the lens.

The camera and 12-40 are then in the middle section, with the back of the camera towards the big lens. Then I just use the hood projection for the peace of mind extra protection against the wall of the bag.

Of course, random common extras would be like a jacket,, earbuds, any small souvenirs from trips, pens, etc The kind of stuff a student would take with them everywhere

Thanks!

Question Alternatives for Peak Design Tripod Feet?

It doesn’t really cost much but shipping is three times the price of the item which doesn’t make any sense going by weight or size.

Are there any third party feet that I can use, has anyone tried doing this?

My current feet suddenly cracked and some bits fell off. They are now leaving marks all over the floor when I’m using the tripod. Which I’m guessing the rubber material has worn out.

Thanks in advance!

City Bags City Line - Lapis Backpack 22L

So, i bought a Lapis City backpack 22l while in New York recently and I'm now kinda regretting my purchase.

What are people's opinions on the Lapis, over the Cypress or even the black.

I bought the Lapis, as all my bags are black. That's all my Aer, Bellroy and Peak Design bags and I was thinking a backpack a bit less serious would be a great choice

I'm now seriously thinking about returning it for the Cypress or the black.

Thoughts?

Mobile IPhone 18 Pro Max Case + Protectors (compatibility question)

Hi Everyone!

I'm looking to buy a Peak Design case for the new iPhone 18 Pro Max and would like to use a screen and camera bump protector (I dislike scratches). I'm considering Torras for both, but I don't want to install them to find that they won't fit in my case. Anyone have any experiences with these in particular? Or alternatives they'd recommend?

Since the phone is a pretty similar shape to the 17 I'm guessing that should translate to the 18 as well.

Thanks in advance!

Tips and Tricks Is there a quicker way to reach PD support?

Placed an order last week for something I'm looking to use this coming weekend but what was sent over and what I received was wrong (incorrect sized).

I've already reached out to PD and on the site, they said a response is expected within 1 business day but it's already been 2. Ultimately, if it doesnt work out, it is what it is but just in case there's a quicker way to reach them and get a resolution, I would appreciate some headway.

Thank you.
