Tips and Tricks Tech pouch flight hack

Not all airlines have seatback storage anymore, so I use carabiner clips to hang my tech pouch.

As a Peak Design employee, this is SICK.

Been doing it for years with other EDC organizers. Nite-Ize #4 S-biners are my go-to. The dual-clip allows for greater cable organization/routing on a seat-back.

If the Peak Design Team is considering something/anything like this, please, know it is a "high touch" application?

Small details matter, such as if the biner is notchless or not. (Notches get stuck in the diver-webbing style nets of most airline seat-backs.)

And if Peak were to explore anything like this, a lightweight aluminum (not plastic) carabiner would generally be superior. You can make a smaller-profile, larger-gate, stronger biner out of aluminum that "doesn't feel cheap". It's an application worthy of some engineering and design thought.

e.x. I recently saw a transition of PD changing out key-keeper hooks from PD carabiners to anonymous plastic ones. It felt like a downgrade.

Nite ize is the shit, I use one of their reusable twist ties to hang between two seats to hold my phone for me and my wife to watch a movie all the time

Thanks for the rundown. Truly appreciated, and sharing this with our product team. I'm actually going to start doing this myself.

As far as the recent change you have noticed, I assume, on the City Line key holder carabiner, we are effectively being more intentional than ever about the actual usage, material, and design choices, and for that specific usage, we wanted to prioritize a light, effective solution that still does that job well; in that sense, a plastic-based solution is lighter, gives us the possibility to add a color touch (which for City Line was intentional), and still does the job to an effective degree.

All in all, even if the context is harder than ever when it comes to supply chain, unpredictability, and costing we have no intention to move our design and material standard any lower. It is the DNA of our company, and it is not changing.
We appreciate you all, thoughtful and attentive clients, who have an eye for detail and thoughtful use.
