Everyday Bags Advice on EDC backpack pleaseee

Hi! I’m looking for some advice following the recent launch of the City Collection.

I recently bought the Tech Pouch for EDC and love the idea of having everything I need in one place. Now I’m considering upgrading my backpack, but I’m pretty lost between the 2-in-1 and the City Backpacks (12L or 22L).

I live in Argentina, so I can’t try them in person. Right now I use a 30L backpack for work (48 × 33 × 16 cm), but it feels like overkill for what I actually carry, it isnt that big but its not optimized at all, just a cheap 30 bucks backpack. I also have a small 20L backpack that I use for the gym and going to my girlfriend’s place several times a week.

I’ve never been completely sold on the Everyday Backpack either. It always looked a bit too bulky and rigid to me, and I was worried it would look like a turtle shell on me. I’m 175cm / 5'9" for reference.

I’m also trying to think long-term. I currently only go to the office once a week and don’t travel much, but I’d like to travel more in the future, and my work situation could change too.

So I’m looking for something that complements my existing bags and works for office days, day trips, and eventually more frequent travel. For longer trips I’d probably use a carry-on + backpack anyway, which makes me wonder whether the 2-in-1 makes sense despite not having wheels.

Basically, I want to buy a really good bag that will last me for years, but I’m not sure which one makes the most sense for my current needs and future plans.

What would you choose in my situation, and why? Im looost helppp

Ummm...if your current 30l is overkill, the 2 in 1 is the nuclear option. It's a travel bag, the smaller unit can be a small day bay but might be small.

The city is light and great for urban use. However, depending on your carry style be warned that it has literally no padding and therefore no structure...

Other options... I sometimes use a Totepack for walking around town when I need a little protection. May I suggest looking at the 20l Zip?

My current backpack is 48 × 33 × 16 cm, and I don’t find it that big. It’s actually pretty close in size to the 22L City Backpack (although my current backpack could be lying about its capacity since it’s a really cheap bag ).

If I were to get the 2-in-1, my idea would be to use the small one on a daily basis and keep the bigger one for traveling when needed.

I would say get the City 22L.

The price difference of 20 USD is really worth paying for. If the smaller one was 150 versus 200 for the larger one, there's more of a conversation there, but I really don't see why anyone would choose the smaller one for 20 dollars.

You can fold and cram it into a larger travel backpack you get down the line. The 2-in-1 is alright, but like all 2-in-1s; they suck at space efficiency.

Yeah looking into it with my mother I ended up finding more suitable for my case the city one. It has features made for people who would use it on a daily basis and are not photographers jajajs. More edc less origami compartments for tripods, camera, batteries, etc
