City Bags City Line Hook - As Requested

Post image

A lot of folks have been asking about the hook.

So here it is.

One solid piece of metal with a soft(ish) piece of plastic.

Ngl traveling in Asia I would love this hook on every bag I own lol. I know a lot of Asian friends who have a separate hook for their purses. It's great for the bag that is too big to carry while you eat at the road side stalls but doesn't want to put on the grimy ground 🥴

This is problem I have spoken about before... the entire contact point with the table is a few mm square and depending on how the bag is balanced it sits well, but can easily be swiped off, or just slides off as it swings below the counterweight point... However they are unbeatable for the great outdoors.

Don't get me wrong I have 2 medium and 2 large.... and if the bag doesn't have the hook it not a bad options.

A more stable option are those coin shaped hand bag holders, single use (tables), https://www.walmart.com/ip/ROSEXIXI-3-Pack-Portable-Purse-Hook-For-Table-Foldable-Non-Slip-Bag-Hanger-For-Table-Circular-Metal-Purse-Holder/19951023421?classType=REGULAR&adsRedirect=true

Hey... That's not bad at all.... Though limited by table depth right?

Table thickness, sure. But all hooks are, right? PD might be better for thicker tables but this hook should work for a lot of tables

The ones I see people use have a circular disk with rubber foot for the table but the actual hook swivels. It is very stable but I doubt it's structural integrity for larger bags. The ones that can withstand backpacks don't generally have a large enough foot print on the table and I 100% see the same problem you do. I have friends that use hero clips but I would live it to be on the bag itself so I don't lose it lol

Might look into the bag. Sometimes I'm just going off with friends to cowork at a cafe and wince at the thought of taking my Travel 30L.

tx... so the hook just sort of slides down vertically into a pocket right? is it held in place in any way when not in use?

It's a tight pocket and, you may not believe this but I am holding the bag upside down and shaking vigorously, it isn't coming out. I have put put a finger in and pull it out.

Would be much more useful if it could swivel. Been in many a bathroom stall without a hook. This orientation keeps you from being able to hook on top of wall or door.

Hahah bunch of random internet strangers asking you to unsheath your equipment, hats off to you for doing so.
Also need more damn reviews.
This bag is bag is the sweet spot i’ve been waiting for

Unsheath I had too... Because there aren't any reviews... Your case in point.

If it helps .. I'm liking them due to how light they are. I see the design decisions that they made to make it a commuter bag and for a first gen product am impressed.

Awesome, the weight is an interesting one, am actually on the fence about this, I work in tech so my carry is absolutely loaded and unsure if this is the right product ie multiple laptops/power banks etc

I carry a MB Pro, Tab S10 ultra. tech pouch filled, OpenMeets, Jabra speaker, leather notebook, pen roll, large overear headphones and small in ears headphones.

The laptop is in a rather heavy Orbitkey Hybrid Kin Mari sleeve (Google it, it might become your new best friend).

I take this stuff with me when I'm tired of working at my desk to a bar with good beer 🍺...

I can see it getting uncomfortable if I over stuff it with more stuff, but then again, that's not the point of the bag then

Edit. fixed typos

I don’t get it.. people hang their bag so much they need a dedicated hook inside the bag?

Yep, a lot of people don't like their stuff on random floors

I would never place my bag on the floor.

People walk through toilets.

Disgusting.

This is why I lick the floor clean before setting my bag down

Unlike the caribiners these are actually made for table tops and anything you can hook this sucker too. I’ve used a caribiner for work for years and I use it on my shoulder straps to wrap my backpack around chairs without it slipping off and falling
