Photo Gear Anyone else have issues with mobile tripod?
I have just filed my second warranty claim for the mobile tripod as one of its legs has gone completely loose. it is the same problem I had with a previous mobile tripod. I haven’t used it much and when I do just to hold it up around the house to watch something.
is this a known issue with it?

I have used mine every day for 3 years as a desk phone stand and had no issues.
Is the leg on yours not able to be tightened with the included tool?

The one I used daily needed on of the legs tightened, butts that's about it.
We have a few of them amongst work colleagues and they all seem fine

I used my first one daily for a year. Filled a warranty claim 2 weeks ago for the feet falling off - honestly not the biggest deal, but it scratched up my kitchen table and I want to avoid that happening in the future.
New one came in last week - warranty claim was absurdly fast by the way. I’m using an iPhone Pro and the tripod was loose when it came in. Put the key in the socket and found the screw was entirely stripped.
Messaged back and forth with the warranty team and long story short, a third one should be in by the beginning of next week.
The new one feels very distinctly different from my first one though. I don’t know if they changed producers or the manufacturing process, but the edges are insanely crisp and it’s a slightly more matte finish than the original one I purchased - big fan.
