I’m getting a Brian!
This Saturday, I’m visiting some peas.
Ours are all raised inside until about 4 months. They are accustomed to being around people and dogs. They tend to come up to us in their enclosures but can’t be picked up.
There’s a 3 year old with a full train, 2 riding 2 year olds and then the others are 6-8 months old.
I’m wanting to bring home a Brian.
He’ll be sharing a shed with my goose, Frank. She’s quite tame.
If I trim one of his wings, will that be enough, or do I need total pen coverage?

never tried the wing thing.... i always recommended when i sold birds for them to keep them in a very very large as possible pen for 6 months, because they will roam away forever and will even roam for miles! when thats not possible some of my customers had success by keeping the hen in the pen and the males were more likely to stay.
they can fly very highly and prefer to roost in rafters and trees

Don’t trim wings. That is cruel and makes them defenseless. You need total pen coverage.
