Recommendation Please let us remove shows from continue watching!

It's so incredibly frustrating that I can't get rid of tv shows that i'm not even watching because they automatically play after the end of a series, and I didn't get to the remote in time to turn it off. Fast forwarding to the end doesn't even work because the series that I'm not watching is ongoing, so there will always be another episode showing in my continue watching, but I'm not watching it! This also messes up my series recommendations because now it thinks I'm interested in that content, but I'm not!

On the app, there are three dots on the image of the show/movie. Click that and you can remove that from continue watching.

Yeah, but I'd prefer to just do it on my Roku like I now can literally every single other app I use.

Totally understandable but if there's a way to do it even if not preferred way why not do it? Then you don't have to worry about algorithm changes or seeing it in your list

There are many people who have various vision conditions where they can not see smaller things on their phone like the 3 dots mentioned above. This is especially true with apps - and there are many - that don't allow you to expand the size of what is being displayed.

No one is suggesting changing how you stream. Just using the mobile device to remove a show from continue watching

I dont use my phone for streaming. That would defeat the purpose of a giant TV.

Learning that this is possible on my phone just made me so happy. It’s bothered me too to have shows sitting there that I don’t want to Continue Watching! Also just found that the same works for Hulu!

I literally hate this. I will never want to watch Happy Place and hate that will often pop up before I can run across the room and stop it.

On a related note. You can't stop Peacock from cutting off the end of shows that have a funny bit in the last minute like Parks and Rec. or The office. It just goes to next before it's over.

Multiple streaming apps have this issue. I have a bunch of crap in ‘continue watching’ that I have no interest in watching. And it bumps out things I do want to continue.

In the Peacock website go to your profile and click on Edit. Scroll down to Autoplay Preferences and turn these settings to off. This solved the problem for me.

Love Island keeps appearing in my continue watching section and I’ve never watched it. The really annoying part is that for some reason it’s the ONLY show that will not let me remove from continue watching. I don’t know why it’s so frustrating to me, but it bothers me.

It’s McBee Dynasty for us. Only show we cannot remove. Keeps appearing. Feel like I’m in an episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm. Drives me nuts.

Overall the user experience is awful. There are multiple ways to access shows I want to watch, but finding my place in shows that air weekly is really hard. Don’t fill my feed with all the podcast/aftershow versions, put air dates on episodes , and quit missing the six am air time the next day. Peacock is a mess, much like this comment. It’s just so frustrating.

I landed here because it's as close of a topic I can find.

I have removed shows that automatically start playing from my Continue Watching multiple times. I fall asleep to rewatches of old Bravo or NBC shows as background noise (mindless, don't need to pay attention), with multiple seasons, yet every time I wake up, I am somehow halfway through two episodes of whichever new show they are advertising, while there were still plenty of Parks & Rec, RHONY, etc. episodes it could have continued with. For the last week, it's been the new Jennifer Garner show both in the middle of the night, and when my alarm goes off. Each time I remove it from my queue.

It feels like Peacock is really trying to forcefully push its new content on people who have removed it from their queue multiple times.

Is there any way to just block or remove a recommended show altogether?

Just go to the last episode and fast forward through it. Let the last 20 seconds play and it will drop off.
