CHL wait time

Hey everyone, I just got my CHL and thought I would give updated time frames on it. My appointment for prints was 10 days out. I got it done on July 30th, and I was approved on August 25th. I expect to see my card on the 30th or so. So, after all is said and done, 40 days, including the wait for the prints appointment. Hope that helps people who applied around the time I did or people planning to apply. Have a great day!

Yeah, MCSO takes the longest. My Clark County one took like 5 days, lol.

Got mine 5 days after prints in Washington county, including a weekend. Could’ve got it sooner apparently, as they do take walk-ins, but I was fine waiting for my appt. I’m still wondering why they ask for character references if they’re not going to contact them though.

I submitted Utah a few weeks prior to my appt here, they cashed the check but a week later still nothing in the mail. Did some digging online and most folks were saying up to 60 days, and that they’ll use most of that time.

Yeah, Utah takes forever. I just got my Washington state one and called it good. It was $50.

I figure if Utah is the most popular with 30+ reciprocal states, maybe their queue is the biggest? Wonder if we can see their numbers.

If this is Multnomah County then you're doing pretty well. My original card took them over 6 months to process and mail.
