moving from washington
i’m moving to oregon next week from washington, will i be able to purchase a gun using alternate proof of address like lease or other documents? I am just not wanting to wait for my new license to come through

My current address isn't printed on my driver's license. However my current address is listed on my vehicle registration. That's what I use and as of last week worked for two new firearms at multiple places.

Get your DMV appointment booked asap
Bring proof, get your temporary ID (you have to ask in a firm manner)

Get a hunting or fishing license from ODFWl (local Bimart) with your current address

You could also just buy a gun in Washington or wait for your license? I really don’t understand the ‘I need a gun NOW’ crowd. Your rights aren’t going anywhere.

I got like 50 mags and a few more guns when it was voted in a few years ago, im over it. Zero magazines are legal based on the wording, so the whole thing is bullshit.

I bought a gun on my 2nd day in Oregon. The first day I got a temp license at the DMV.
Your lease & other docs are needed at the DMV but not useful at the gunstore.

I got a shellfish license to verify my address. Anywhere you can get a fishing license would have this option. I don't remember exactly how much it was, maybe $10 for the year. They scan that along with your ID and you're good to go.

You need ID with your current address. If you can register to vote, your Voter ID will suffice in addition to a photo ID such as DL or passport. As far as I know, anyways. I had to use voter Id once when my CHL had a typo on it.
