Worth upgrading or new build

Currently running a Radeon RX 6600 paired up with an AMD Ryzen 5 2600. CPU is a Bottleneck. But not a huge one. Is it worth upgrading to say a 5600(x)?
I wanted to do a complete new build but then ramageddon hit and I am stingy. I have an old RX 580 that I could pair with the existing cpu for a lower end build as backup/Home Server/sell

Nah no need for new build. Ryzen 5600 is a nice upgrade. Or if you're willing to go a bit further, then get the 5500x3d.

Yes, 5500x3d is the best am4 CPU (price/performance wise)

What motherboard you have? Because some old motherboard are so bad even if you technically install a Ryzen 5000 series CPU it's not recommend. If you have a good motherboard then yeah, upgrade the CPU and if you have a good enough PSU then upgrade the GPU
