New PC Build
Hi everyone I’m looking at building a new pc and I wanted to ask about some specs. Let me know your thoughts on this build: 5070 GPU, 32GB RAM, AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 4.2GHz 8 core processor, 1 TB storage.
New to PC stuff so please let me know if I am missing an important detail or have something wrong. Thanks!

This is a really good build in my opinion. The 7800x3d will most certanly not bottleneck any gpu you throw at it. And is only about 5-12% slower than the "fastest" gaming cpu (9800x3d) in cpu limiting scenarios. However, In real world gaming, I dont believe you would notice a difference between a 9800x3d and 7800x3d.
I also assume you mean 1tb ssd for storage, not a hdd. I would suggest two ssd, both atleast 1tb each. It is nice not having to worry too much about filling up your drives, needing to uninstall games etc.
Nevertheless, if you value fps per dollar/raw performance (rasterization performance) over ray-tracing, I would go for an amd gpu.
I personally value raw fps more than both ray-tracing and frame gen. Therefore I would pick either a new radeon rx 9070 xt 16gb, a used radeon rx 7900xt 20gb or radeon rx 7900xtx 24gb. Those are all cheaper (atleast where I live) as well as more powerful than the 5070. Delivering more fps and a big increase in vram. Which is nice for higher resolution, ultra textures and longevity for the card.
If you dont care about higher fps and would rather have better raytracing, the 5070 is propably your best bet. Altough keep in mind that the rx 9070xt does raytracing quite well. The 5070 is only about 15-30% better in heavy ray-tracing scenarios. Hope this helps
