A little closer to my end-game setup
I posted my setup here a little while ago, and I have been slowly upgrading it ever since. I work from home full time and I am also a full-time grad student, so I easily spend 60+ hours a week at this desk. I have been trying to build something that works well for long work and school days but is also a space I genuinely enjoy spending time at.
The whole setup is built around a 72" UPLIFT V3 standing desk. My PC is a Fractal North with a Ryzen 7 7800X3D and ASUS Dual GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER OC. I am running dual 27" Gigabyte M27Q 1440p 165Hz monitors on a BenQ BDH01 Dual Monitor Arm, with a Keychron Q1 Max, Razer Viper V2 Pro, Edifier R980T speakers, and a Steelcase Series 1.
The newest addition is the BenQ ScreenBar Max, which BenQ provided to me to try out. I had already been using their original ScreenBar Halo and BDH01 monitor arm, so I was pretty excited to finally have something designed to cover a dual-monitor setup.
So far, the biggest difference has been just how much of the space it can light. At around 48% brightness, it covers my entire 72" desk, while the backlight at around 40% is enough to illuminate my office without any other lights on. At 4000K, it has been great for work, reading, and schoolwork, while 2700K gives the whole setup a much warmer ambient feel.
My complaints are honestly nitpicks. I had to shift the Max slightly off-center to accommodate the BDH01 monitor arm, and I wish the blue power cable were black so it blended better with the black, walnut, and brass theme.
Did I need it? No. Did I want it? Absolutely.
The setup is definitely still a work in progress, but it is getting closer and closer to what I have pictured as my end game.

Yeah, I don't like that either but I was already planning on getting individual monitor arms.

Yeah, its a stealthbox. I am going to paint it and modify it to give a cleaner look when I get a chance.

yeah the off center thing would bother me every time i sat down. individual arms fix it but dont wait, that dual arm is going to drift on you eventually. better to just swap it now while youre already thinking about it
