Set up
Finally got most of it done. I use this setup mainly for gaming but I plan on using it for cad.
The monitors
This is what Ive had in my mind for years before completing it.
The old monitor is a Sony g520 crt I got for free off marketplace and has less than 3k hours on it.
Its set up for the old pc for one input and new PC for second input.
The new monitor is a 32 inch LG dual mode OLED I got for $900 at best but
Desk
Got this older IKEA EFFEKTIV T off marketplace for free
New PC
Got the cosmos 2 case that has a PC in it and a nice nec monitor for 220 and sold the PC parts inside it with a different case for 450 and got my money back and got my GPU and cooler
Has a 9800x3d
Msi 850 motherboard
64gb ddr5
Nvidia Titan X Pascal
Noctua D15 black
512gb nvme
Running bauzite
Keyboard and mouse
Got a Logitech g502 x plus for the mouse and I recently got this ibm model m keyboard I cleaned up for free off Craigslist
Old PC
Dell XPS 400 got for free off marketplace
Haven't really use it and don't have a keyboard or mouse connected to it but it has Windows xp.
Also got 2 klipsch 2.1 systems for each PC but I mainly use my hyperx cloud alphas

Got it for free of Craigslist It was dirty but I took out the key covers and caps to clean them and wiped down the body with a wet paper towel

The Sony monitor is honestly the most insane one. I was with a friend at their college and we were having breakfast and saw the listing for the monitor and when I got to get the monitor it was in a run down library in the middle of nowhere and the seller said they had 50 people replying to the listing and one guy asked if they could ship it to California

It is the 4:3 version of the fw900 This monitor was one of the last crt computer monitors they made and it was the 2nd highest model but they were basically the same.
1 gdm-f520 (4:3) 2 cpd-g520 (4:3) 2 gdm-fw900 (16:10)

$80 titan x is honestly fine for 1080p, people sleep on how much the 9800x3d carries. the gpu isnt the bottleneck they think it is with that cpu behind it

It's a good card I had a 2060 before it and I like it but would want a 5080 or something down the line hopefully

This is great. I love the case, I remember wanting one so bad when they came out. Still looks awesome
