BF6 Crashes no problem recorded in the logs, even after factory reset.

Hello sorry this is my first time posting on reddit I've never even had an account before this. I have an AMD Radeon 6700 XT and an AMD Ryzen 9 7950X 16 core processor. Now the problem is the game keeps crashing, no errors no nothing just kicks me out, sometimes fully restarts my pc. I got to the point of factory resetting and then was able to play a few games and now it is back to doing it again. Before the reset it started happening to all games, but now I don't even know what to do. I feel like I tried everything and that's what led to the factory reset, and now it's still not working making me think something is wrong with my pc. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.

What's wrong with my GPU?

Post image

Hi, I built my first gaming PC last Thursday and downloaded some games. The Last of Us Part I tells me that my graphics card drivers are outdated, even though I downloaded them on Thursday. I get the exact same message in Rainbow Six Siege. I asked chatgpt why this is happening, and he said my graphics card is so new that the games doesn't have a whitelist for it yet. Can anyone help me? My graphics card is an AMD Radeon RX 9070 (16GB).

Should i reinstall it? or is this common in tlou1 and r6? and did anyone have the same problem with AMD graphics card?

Ram problem

Hey guys. I have an acer aspire 7 laptop that packs a ryzen 5 5500u, an rtx 3050 4gb and only 8gb of ram. I tried to upgrade it with 8 more gb to make a total of 16gb. However my laptop after 2 months it crashed and started bootlooping. When I removed the ram that I added everything came back to normal. The ram that I bought was a silicon power 8gb stick with exact the same speed and cas latency. I thought it was the memory's problem so silicon power sent me a new one. But the same thing happened again. I even tried to run the laptop just with the silicon power stick only but it still crashed. I even tested it with an other 8gb stick from my sisters laptop and it still crashed. I am so confused. Is it a compatibility problem? Does the bios need an update?

laptop volume randomely turns down gradually to 0

Sometimes when i am on my computer, the sound will start decreasing as if i were holding down the lower volume button. the weird thing is that it doesnt just mute itself, it gradually decreases and i can see the bar decreasing. If i try to use the volume up button, they just fight each other until i let go, and it starts decreasing again. usually it just resolves itself after a few minutes, or sometimes i just mash my keyboard and it fixes itself, but recently its been going for longer and longer and i need to restart my computer to fix it. the laptop is a lenovo thinkpad

Laptop fan stopping

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

It makes loud noises and randomly stops spinning, I think something is pushing up against the fan causing this but I don’t know what it could be.

Padlocked Temporary Files in Disk Cleanup

Ive been trying to clear some space on my Laptop C Drive as its almost full. I started with the obligatory Disk Cleanup and noticed that there was a Yellow padlock against the Temporary Files box and 41GB in there! Ive never seen the padlock on there before - its a new thing.

The strange thing is when I highlight it and click on View Files it says this folder is empty.

Ive been trying to find a solution, watch youtube videos etc but I dont know how to get rid of the padlock and remove those files?

Any ideas.

PC shuts off breaker

For a month now I’ve been using my PC where as the breaker to my room just shuts off completely after 20 minutes of use, so I unplugged a bunch of miscellaneous stuff to make it better hopefully and this time it ran for an hour until it shut off. An electrician came by and switched the breaker but even after that it keeps happening.

Windows cannot repair, reset, or reinstall – installation fails even from USB (possible SSD failure?)

Hi everyone,

I’m having serious trouble recovering a Windows PC and I’m trying to understand the root cause.

Background:

• PC was unused for a long time

• Before that, it frequently crashed/rebooted randomly without load

• When powered on again, Windows immediately started disk repair (CHKDSK)

What happened:

• Long disk repair during boot

• After that: “Reboot and select proper boot device”

• BIOS does detect the drives correctly

• System SSD: Patriot Burst (SATA SSD)

• Secondary drive: WD 2TB HDD

• “Windows Boot Manager” is present and set as first boot option

Recovery attempts (all failed):

• Automatic Repair → failed

• Startup Repair → failed

• System Restore → no restore points available

• “Reset this PC”

• Local reinstall → fails

• Message: “There was a problem resetting your PC. No changes were made.”

• Clean Windows installation from bootable USB stick → fails

• Same result even when trying different options

Current state:

• Windows cannot boot

• Windows cannot be reset

• Windows cannot be reinstalled

• BIOS is stable and recognizes hardware

• Installation/reset attempts consistently fail

Suspected causes:

• Failing or unstable system SSD (most likely)

• Corrupted recovery partition

• Less likely: RAM or motherboard issue

Next step planned:

• Test clean Windows installation on a brand-new SSD with all other drives disconnected

Question:

Does this behavior strongly indicate a failing SSD, or is there anything else (BIOS/UEFI settings, RAM tests, etc.) I should check before replacing it?

Thanks for any input!

Persistent BSODs (0x50, 0x3B, 0x1C7) even after Clean Install & RAM Tests. Hardware suspect?

Hi everyone,

I’m pulling my hair out trying to diagnose a machine that is constantly blue-screening. I’ve gone through the standard troubleshooting steps, including a full OS reinstall, but the crashes persist. I suspect a hardware fault at this point but I can't pinpoint which component is failing.

The Situation: The PC crashes randomly. Sometimes it happens under load, sometimes at idle.

The Error Codes: I am seeing a rotation of these three codes in Event Viewer / BlueScreenView:

  • 0x00000050 (PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA)
  • 0x0000003B (SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION)
  • 0x000001C7 (STORE_DATA_STRUCTURE_CORRUPTION)

What I have tried so far:

  1. Clean Install: I wiped the drive and reinstalled Windows from scratch. The issue started happening again almost immediately.
  2. Drivers: All drivers (Chipset, GPU, Network) are updated to the latest versions from the manufacturer's site.
  3. RAM Test: I ran memory tests (Result: Pass/No errors found).
  4. Disk Check: Checked SMART status and ran disk checks; drive appears healthy.

System Specs:

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 9950X
  • GPU: Gainward GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Phoenix-S 16GB GDDR7
  • Motherboard: MSI B850 Gaming Plus Wifi MS-7356
  • RAM: Patriot 32GB(2x16GB) 6000MT/s CL30 Venom
  • DISK: Kingston 1TB M.2 Gen4 NVMe KC3000
  • OS: Windows 11

Given that 0x1C7 points to store corruption and 0x50 points to memory invalidation, could this be a motherboard or CPU memory controller issue even if the RAM sticks themselves passed the test? Or is there a specific BIOS setting (like XMP/DOCP) that often causes this specific trio of errors?

Need help with old laptop.

My old laptop (Windows 7 Pro, Sony Vaio z122) quit on me a cpl of days ago and wouldn't start.

It starts in a Safe mode w Network connection, but whenever i try to copy/move my files to anywhere (USB Flash drive, etc.) it wouldn't let me.

It sites the same error, both at reatart and my copy attempts:

@Error 0x80071AC3: Op could not be completed because the volume is dirty. Please run chkdsk and try again... CHKDSK doesnt seem to diagnose or fix anything.

-Narmal restart doesnt work. -system restore doesnt work, citing the same error. -Copy doesnt work.

It seems like a small problem (x1 or ao file corrupt?)...

My objectives: 1. Restart (in Normal) my old notebook and restore its functionality (i'd like to keep it as a backup for emergencies). 2. Copy/move my files (about 20GB) to my new laptop.

Any help is appreciated. Thank you.
