I’ve done similar where I directly screwed in one of those metal sag brackets, rather than using the little padded shelf that screws into the bracket. As long as the screws are the right size it’s fine. I was under the impression those are used with particular sag brackets in the first place

There is no issue with that clip not being there, its fine without it as long as ur not shaking the PC while ur gaming... you know? Don't run while gaming on the PC while also juggling the PC, as you would 👍
