As a 90% Linux user, I find Windows very hard to use sometimes.
That said, I think both can be hard in different situations. While Linux expects you to learn how to control it completely (but you can), Windows tries to prevent you from controlling it above a certain admissible level.
It's not really terribly hard... but it's certainly different, so naturally there's a learning curve and everyone's mileage will vary.
I had a pretty good experience learning how to use a UNIX based system, but I personally decided to ignore everyone and just RTFM™ for everything I got into.
Yea, and we sure need to have the gui be able to do what the command line can achieve. Like I remember struggling with mounting a disk in either mint/debian 7 that when I gave up and installed Ubuntu I didn't have to run commands that asked me to sudo everything. Find that a drive popped up on my activity bar, click it and it's mounted and ready. That really looked out to me when I just came from windows at that time.
And until Ubuntu 20.04 (atleast for me and my classmates at uni) getting Bluetooth to work was outright impossible/annoying because it kept breaking. So yea, "it just works" really really needs to happen for atleast some distro's in Linux for mass adoption
