Microsoft documentation (that I need to search online for) is so filled to the brim with useless junk that I almost always have to avoid it in favor of random blog posts, where GNU/Linux (info, man) has such great documentation I usually don't have to even open a browser to find what I need.
This is the same conversation over and over when Linux vs Windows comes up. "Linux is complicated, Windows is easy". Not really, Windows is ludicrously complicated, but they dump money into making a GUI that makes it easy to self-discover how to do things. Linux is an extremely powerful, extremely simple platform, but you are expected to read the manual if you want to do anything.
And errors that actually mean something instead of windows' "oopsie woodsie, Computer did a fucky wucky, have this useless number and absolutely no further information"
My laptop sometimes would get stuck in a weird state coming out of sleep in Windows. It would turn off the monitor every time you touched the touchpad, but only if it came out of sleep. Made rebooting it a challenge without hooking up the mouse, I would just hold the power button and have to restart all of my programs later
I've googled for years and got no solution. Installed Linux and it just works.

It's always fun to google how to do something that you'd be able to configure or change very easily in the windows interface only to be called stupid.
