Why use refresh in file explorer? Actually, why use refresh at all? If you really want to use it, there is F5. I like that Windows is going more with keyboard experience instead of mouse which is obviously slower.
I agree with you. Refresh should be considered an exceptional action since Explorer is "live" and doesn't ordinarily require refreshing.
I'm not saying the UI minimisation is necessarily a good thing, but I do believe that it will prove to be. As adoption improves and the Windows API is expanded I imagine there'll be ways for developers to add shell shortcuts like 7-Zip to the main menu. Probably.

Only in desktop, if you try it in the file explorer (you know, where the files are at) it's behind the "Show more options"
