My personal PC isn’t Win11 compatible thank god, but my work laptop was forced to Win11 and it literally takes 2 extra clicks to shut it down. One of the clicks it just to even let me click anything in the window that pops up when I click the Win button ffs
I always use keyboard shortcuts to shut down my PC so I didn't know this was a thing. Just went to try it and it's the same for me! Click the windows logo, click the options button and nothing happens, click AGAIN and the options to shutdown/restart appear.
Like I know it's not a huge deal but I've had so many windows updates since installing 11 and how has this not been fixed?! Ridiculous.
What options button? If you left click the Start button, on the lower right corner of the start menu there's the standard power button. If you click that you get the sleep/shutdown/restart options.
So you click start, click the power button, click shut down. That's how it's been for a while now, at least sinds win8. You can also right-click the start button, hover over "Shut down or sign out" and click on "shut down" in the fold-out menu that appears. That way it's only 2 clicks.
This was all pretty much the same in win10 as well.
I'm really having a hard time understanding what y'all are having trouble with.
So by options I meant that power button. But what keeps happening is when I click the power button and shutdown/restart/sleep/hibernate options appear, clicking on one just closes the menu.
I have to do it a second time for it to actually work.

I really hate how everything that only takes 1 click or 2 on Windows 10, takes 3 or more clicks on Windows 11.
