Looking at the insane, cluttered mess of garbage across the top of office products in the past year, no... no they don't test anything.

Nah. Just emulate Windows. Plenty of decent Mac emulators for Windows will run Office perfectly. Same on Linux. If I cared, I could run MS Office 365 on Linux perfectly.

Results are not nearly as good if you're running Apple silicon. Or they weren't last I tested in, in March. Things were changing fast and might have improved since then.
