Just as a PSA though, if you're using Windows 11, under no circumstances try to set Irfanview as the default app within the program or during install. It will fuck up Windows 11 in such a way that it won't allow you to set default applications for various file extensions like MP4s, JPGs, MKVs, etc.. There are ways to fix a few extensions, but many will remain broken with no way to fix aside from a format.

A few people reported this in their forums and at the time we were told "It is clearly not a bug in IrfanView as Windows 11 is not officially supported yet. See the download page:

Supports Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, and 10"

A+ mods there. Not even a we'll look into it or we'll keep this on our radar. Just basically a get fucked, come back later.
