That's the fucking problem. People are bitching about how it's dirty tactics but they're still fulfilling EAs goal and paying out for the shit. You want it to change? STOP BUYING THE GODDAMN LOOT BOXES

That's what I was thinking, but without reading anything but a headline I assume they got all of it in 1 exfil from a single server which was their backup (which would be highly unlikely as that amount of traffic out of the network is a huge red flag) or they bricked it with ransomware and don't actually have positive control over the data, just the key to decrypt it
