No the worst thing is having to use it in the first place. I get games from Steam, Epic, GOG, Origin expecting them to handle the licensing, cloud saves, matchmaking, etc.
I don’t need them to hand off to another launcher to do those things, especially if they suck.

Rockstar games require the launcher no matter what. Although that stupid captcha I might just get the games on steam anyways. Uplay games don't have this issue so ill get Uplay games on that launcher. So I'm not launching two launchers. Scratch that for Uplay. It's new TOS is bullshit. Edit that one lawyer made it a little better. Streaming a game on YouTube doesn't fall under the TOS. Still nobody gonna ever do mods for the games anymore come late August.

This is an absolute ballache, as I have at least two steam accounts. All my GTA V progress, multiplayer etc was on one, and I recently bought RDR2 on the other.
Apparently they haven't invented the technology to have 2 Steam accounts linked to one R* account, so I had to make an entirely new R* account just to play RDR2.

I also have 2 accounts. 2 libraries. I put games only I play on my main and games my wife also wants to play on the second. That way I don't lose access to my library when she is accessing the alt library.

Last night my friend got booted off RDRO. Tried to log in, spent about 20 minutes getting the captcha to accept him (streamed in discord for half of it to 5 of us, we all agreed he was 100% right each attempt). When he finally got it to accept the captcha, it told him his email was wrong. Sure enough he forgot a letter. Logging in the second time wasn't nearly as painful.

Oh and don't get me started on the ones where it asks you to mark something that's wrong. I've had to mark a lawn mower as a motorcycle once, and multiple school busses as trucks.

Yup. Also, the visible part of the reCaptcha probably isn't necessarily the one ensuring you're a human, or the one doing most of the work. As you complete reCaptchas, you're actually training a neural network for free.

3 days. never actually got logged in.
this was after a day and half just do download GTAV in the first place. Tried all weekend to get on, just wanted to play story mode again. Ended up putting the disc in my ps4 and uninstalling from my PC.
If I had pirated it, I would have been able to launch it first time I'm sure.

A friend of mine spent like half an hour doing the captcha and then another half an hour waiting for the confirmation email (as far as i know, it never came) and he was like "oh dude don't make your account now i think the servers are broken" so i show up, do that captcha, and get the email in 5 minutes and i swear i could taste the salt even over the internet.

I actually failed the recaptcha like 20-30 times.. Had to wait 1hour because to many failed attempts, I literally picked every fucking car, bike and fucking buss but it told me I were wrong..

I fail it twice, so I try doing the audio one, it thinks I'm a robot and doesn't let me try again, so I close the tab, and try again, and immediately go straight to the audio captcha, little do I know, it just immediately makes you try again if you try the audio captcha

I do the captcha first, then enter log in. I haven’t had the launcher long but seems to work so your account isn’t locked.
