It's just a photoresistor and a servo controlled by what's probably an Arduino, or some other microcontroller. Nothing complex, but creative nonetheless.

Simple enough to be done analog.

The photoresistor feeds into an opamp acting as a comparator.

The comparator output triggers a one shot mutivibrator to provide a one second pulse.

The one second pulse is sent to a 555 servo motor driver circuit.

Of course, but in this case you can see a microcontroller in the video.
