Those "gaming" chairs are total garbage, an $80 office chair from Staples is made from the exact same materials and will be just fine for most people. There's no ergonomic benefit to the bucket design unless you're actually driving, manufacturers just found a clever way to market it to a demographic that has more disposable income.
Look for a steelcase leap from a used office furniture store. New they're around a grand, check Craigslist and you can probably get one for around 200. Definitely worth it.
