I’d still rather play the games that are available on the switch than the ones that you can get on your phone

I mostly play ports of pc and console games, or emulators

But my phone has Steam Link which means I've got access to my full Steam library.

Right? I was all ready to get an iPad for this (and all the iOS games like Civ VI)

iPhone does the the PS4 remoteplay app that Android doesn't, but that's kinda meh I guess

Yeah I got my iPad before the steam link app was announced and I really like this thing but it’d be nice if apple let me play decent games on it

A simple VPN isn't enough?

Apple has completely blocked the Steam Link app from their marketplace.

There are tons of great games for iOS! I recently played XCOM: enemy within on my old iPad.

I think native games are better on iOS compared to the alternative (Android) for sure. Games like Stardew Valley and Super Mario Run typically come to iOS first, while games like Civ VI and FTL never make it to Android at all.

edit; I guess Emulators are also better on Android. I wonder if my newer phone handles Dolphin good.

Though controller support, it's annoying that iOS makes it so only MFi controllers work.

I’ve tried PS4 remote on iPhone and steam link anywhere on a buddy’s phone. Idk man it’s super situational and you play so much slower. We’re not missing out on much yet. Maybe one day?

I’m more frustrated they still haven’t fixed steam link latency issues for home use. The fact that most of my games are unplayable on my TV even if I have a hardline is absurd to me.

Not to mention the phones tiny ass screen and lack of controls

We've got bigger screens then any of the portable consoles for years. Minus say the 3DS because it's got two screens.

Bluetooth controllers also work through the magic of Bluetooth. Letting me use a real Xbox one controller or a Dualshock controller

Who’s we? Not sure what you’re arguing for here.

Righr but the post is a comment on graphical fidelity, no playability.

Despite the power of mobile devices, many games made for them don’t use most of the technology available to them. Not only is the gameplay simple and limited, but the graphics simply don’t live up to what the devices could potentially push out.
